Framed by traditional storytelling, it captures how voices suppressed by class and convention survive only within fiction—until all that remains is an unspoken promise: “When the qin and se are in harmony, all is well” (琴瑟在御，莫不静好).

Sculpting Youth is a short film that focuses on the theme of inheriting and promoting intangible cultural heritage. It tells the story of Xu Wenyuan, a university student from a family of traditional bamboo carvers, who initially resists taking up the family craft but eventually embraces her cultural roots and takes on the responsibility of heritage preservation in her own way.
