Introduction
This is a sound work by four creators based on the idea of a review as the memory of a moment in the past.
Hank Wang's work stems from his memories of a spatial audio concert within the spatial memory of the reverberating space of a church. Here he simulates the sound field of the church with six piano sketches.
KE's work ‘Chakra’ is based on the inner spiritual experience of meditation, and is an exploration of sound centred around the energetic properties of the seven chakras.
Pierre Huang explores the significance of language in sound expression through the recollection of a sound art performance where the language itself degenerates into pure sound and rhythm.
Ding Huang's work is a memory of a piece he heard at the Tate modern that built rich aural layers with a single human voice. This monophonic diversity led him to consider how sound can carry emotions, connect cultures, and record history.
